Monica
Fairbairn's educational background is in botany and land use planning.
She holds a certificate in Landscape Design from the Landscape Institute,
Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University. She is also a member of the NELDHA (New England
Design and History Association).
Monica brings her avocation to vocation - as
a designer and builder of gardens. Over twenty years as a professional
land-use planner in
Jamaica and the United States, Monica has built a comprehensive career
in landscape
design, land-based project planning, land and site planning education,
and historic preservation.
Her work is underlain with a deep commitment
to values that support the community. She has been an active participant
as board member,
committee member, task force member of civic, historical, and arts
organizations.
Member of the Women's Horticultural Network, Massachusetts; Massachusetts
Horticultural Society; Community Outreach Group of Landscape Designers. |
